The Wellspring Philanthropic Fund plays a vital role in strengthening Safe to Learn’s mission to end violence in schools, helping the initiative deepen its impact at global and country levels.

Strengthening leadership and collaboration

Wellspring’s support has been instrumental in enabling Safe to Learn to develop stronger technical capacity and closer alignment with national education systems. Their investment helps sustain core Safe to Learn Secretariat functions – including coordination of the Advisory Board, partner committees, and task forces that unite 18 global partners around the Safe to Learn Call to Action.

Elevating school safety on the global agenda

With Wellspring’s backing, Safe to Learn is driving advocacy to make sure violence prevention is a top priority on the education agenda. This includes engagement in high-level forums to ensure that ending violence in schools is reflected in policy outcomes and financing discussions.

Driving country level impact

The partnership with Wellspring enables Safe to Learn to provide technical support to ministries of education, using Safe to Learn’s diagnostic and benchmarking tools to strengthen systems and track progress. It also acts as co-financing for the Global Partnership for Education’s Technical Assistance Initiative on Safe Learning – now being implemented in South Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

A shared commitment

Together, Wellspring and Safe to Learn are helping build safer, more inclusive learning environments worldwide so that schools become places where all children can learn, grow, and thrive without fear.
